Phillip Lindsay Sees 11 Carries Against Carolina
4 years agoDenver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay continued to split the backfield workload almost evenly with Melvin Gordon III in the 32-27 Week 14 win over the Panthers on Sunday. Lindsay carried the ball 11 times for just 24 yards (2.2 yards per carry). He also caught both of his targets in the passing game for seven yards. The 26-year-old had just two fewer carries than Gordon. Despite seeing double-digit carries in three of the last four games, Lindsay has just 3.04 yards per carry and no touchdowns. The only thing that could make him worth starting in your lineups in Week 15 against the Bills is if Gordon's shoulder injury suffered in Week 14 causes him to miss this weekend or be limited in some way. It was nice to see Lindsay catch two passes against Carolina, but that figure doubled his season total of four catches on the season.
