7 months agoNew York Mets first baseman Peter Alonso, who hit his first major league home run on Monday, will rest in favor of Dominic Smith on Tuesday, according to manager Mickey Callaway. Alonso, 24, has seven hits in 17 at-bats (.412) in his first big league season and also has two runs and six RBI, so he figures to stick in the lineup regularly. The Mets would just like to get Smith a little playing time on Tuesday against Marlins right-hander Jose Urena. Alonso should be owned in all leagues at this point.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
