Pedro Severino Leaves Game With Head Contusion
6 years agoThe day after he made his biggest splash on the MLB stage by hitting three home runs in a game, Baltimore Orioles catcher Pedro Severino (head) couldn't make it out of the first inning in Wednesday's game. Severino was hit in the mask by a ball in the first inning, then taken out of the game beside the team's trainer. The Orioles reported that Severino had no concussion symptoms, which is of course good news. On the year, Severino is hitting .288 with eight home runs and 18 RBI. He's right on the fringe of being roster-worthy in AL-only and 14-team or larger leagues. If you currently roster him in one of these league types, hold another day until we have more definitive news as to whether he'll miss any time.
