Colby Parkinson Won't Play in Week 6 Despite Clearing Concussion Protocol
Colby Parkinson (concussion) cleared concussion protocol but is officially inactive for Sunday's Week 6 contest against the Baltimore Ravens. He had previously been listed as questionable after logging three limited practices in a row. The 26-year-old has not been a major contributor in his backup role behind Tyler Higbee this year, totaling four catches, 11 yards, and a lost fumble through three games. Terrance Ferguson and Davis Allen round out the depth chart behind Higbee.

Jalen Milroe a Healthy Scratch for Week 6
Jalen Milroe (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 6 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He will serve as the Seahawks' emergency third quarterback, which means he can only enter the game if both Sam Darnold and Drew Lock get hurt. Milroe's absence is a bit surprising given that Seattle has several plays designed specifically for him, and we've seen him register snaps in three of five games so far this season. With that said, he did lose a fumble on his lone rushing attempt against the Buccaneers last weekend. Dynasty managers should continue to stash Milroe for his long-term upside, but he's droppable in all redraft leagues as it appears he has fallen to third on the depth chart for now.

Kyler Murray Officially Inactive for Week 6
Kyler Murray (foot) is officially inactive for Sunday's Week 6 contest against the Indianapolis Colts. He had been listed as questionable after missing two practices and logging a limited session on Friday. Arizona left the door open for him to play, but there were plenty of reports on Saturday that indicated Murray was unlikely to suit up. Indeed, he is inactive on Sunday and will temporarily hand over the starting job to Jacoby Brissett. The veteran makes his first start of the season, as well as his first start as an Arizona Cardinal, and he'll do so against one of his former teams. The 32-year-old is a solid passer with some mobility, so Cardinals fans and fantasy managers should feel optimistic that Brissett can keep the team competitive while supporting solid fantasy performances from players like Marvin Harrison Jr., Trey McBride, and Bam Knight.

Tyler Smith Active for Week 6 Against Carolina
Dallas Cowboys left guard Tyler Smith (knee) is active for Sunday's Week 6 contest against the Carolina Panthers, according to Todd Archer of ESPN. Smith had been listed as questionable after being a limited participant, and he was a true game-time decision heading into this weekend. In the end, the starting offensive lineman will suit up for an NFC battle on the road. Smith, a fourth-year guard out of Tulsa, played every snap through the first four weeks before missing last Sunday's contest. He'll return to action and provide key protection in front ofBam Knight Will Operate as Lead Back Over Michael Carter?
Bam Knight will take over as the team's lead back in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Michael Carter will be relegated to the backup role while Emari Demercado handles the bulk of the third-down snaps. This represents a personnel change after Carter led the backfield with 18 touches last Sunday. Carter scored a touchdown in that game, but he was inefficient with just 2.8 yards per carry, which could be why Arizona is switching to Knight for Week 6. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly. Knight is suddenly a solid RB3/flex option against the Colts, while Carter and Demercado should be benched in most leagues. All three have relatively low floors given the state of the Cardinals' offense, which will be led by Jacoby Brissett and not Kyler Murray (foot) in Week 6.

Carson Wentz Remains Limited by Shoulder Injury
Carson Wentz (left shoulder) "could be limited in practice this week," according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The Vikings are currently on their bye week but will return to practice within the next few days ahead of their Week 7 clash against the Philadelphia Eagles. Minnesota has several quarterback injuries to monitor, as J.J. McCarthy (ankle) has been sidelined for three games, and now Wentz, his backup, could be at risk of missing time. The exact timetables for both McCarthy and Wentz are unclear, but the team's Wednesday injury reports should provide more clarity on their respective statuses. There's a small but nonzero chance that both McCarthy and Wentz miss Week 7, which would leave Max Brosmer in line to start at quarterback.

J.J. McCarthy Returning to Practice, Still Uncertain for Week 7
J.J. McCarthy (ankle) had a productive bye week and should return to practice within the next few days. However, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, McCarthy's availability for Week 7 against the Philadelphia Eagles remains uncertain. The second-year signal caller "is not 100 percent," and it remains to be seen how his ankle will respond to consecutive days of practice. Fantasy managers should look for updates when the Vikings post their official injury reports during the upcoming week, as those reports will offer more clarity on McCarthy's practice involvement and whether he's trending in the right direction for Week 7. If he can't play, Carson Wentz (shoulder) should be the presumptive starter.

Ravens Hope Lamar Jackson Can Return After Week 7 Bye
Lamar Jackson (hamstring) can return following next week's bye, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The injury is reportedly not long-term, and Jackson has been in the team's facilities rehabbing. While a Week 8 return has certainly not been confirmed, the team views that as a reasonable target as the star quarterback continues to make progress with his recovery. In the meantime, Cooper Rush will make one more start in Week 6. Baltimore's offense has looked very underwhelming under Rush, so getting Jackson back would be good news all around. He's a fantasy QB1 whenever he's healthy.

Raiders Standing Behind Geno Smith Despite Recent Struggles
Geno Smith and have not had any serious discussions about benching him, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Smith has thrown nine interceptions this season, and he has two different games with three picks. Las Vegas reportedly wants to do a better job getting its rushing game going, as the team believes this will help Smith in the passing game. Of course, if the Raiders start to run the ball effectively and still get poor results from Smith, a quarterback conversation will be necessary. Smith's backup is Kenny Pickett, whom the Raiders acquired for a fifth-round pick this past summer.

Hunter Long Operating as Jaguars' Top Tight End in Week 6
Hunter Long enters Week 6 atop the depth chart after Brenton Strange (quad) was placed on injured reserve. While Long's exact volume is uncertain, he did step up and play 60 percent of the snaps after Strange went down last week, so he should definitely get involved. He also has six catches and a touchdown over his last three games, indicating that Trevor Lawrence is comfortable throwing him the football. Long ranks as a mid-to-low TE2 with some streaming appeal in deeper leagues. Fortunately for Long, he has upside given his matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, who have surrendered the most receptions and seventh-most fantasy points to tight ends in 2025.

Hassan Haskins Expected to Lead Chargers Backfield
Hassan Haskins is expected to operate as the primary option out of the backfield during Sunday's Week 6 contest against the Miami Dolphins, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. Haskins will take on an expanded role this weekend with both Omarion Hampton (ankle) and Najee Harris (Achilles) on injured reserve. Haskins' newfound role at the top of the depth chart isn't necessarily a surprise since he was routinely active as the No. 3 running back when Hampton and Harris were healthy. Now, he'll slide into the lead-back role while Kimani Vidal offers a change of pace. It's possible that Vidal could carve out a low-end fantasy role, but for now, Haskins is the only Chargers running back worth starting in fantasy football. He ranks as an RB3/flex but could have RB2 upside in a favorable matchup against Miami.

Kendrick Bourne Still Intriguing Despite Teammate's Return
Kendrick Bourne remains an intriguing fantasy option despite teammate Jauan Jennings (ankle, rib) returning. The veteran receiver is coming off a career performance in which he caught 10 passes for 142 yards. Ricky Pearsall (knee) remains sidelined for the Niners, so Bourne should still start and carve out a sizable role alongside Jennings. Also working in Bourne's favor is the quarterback situation. Brock Purdy (toe) will miss his fourth game, leaving Mac Jones in line to start. Jones and Bourne have a great rapport from their time together in New England, as well as last week's big game, and should continue to strengthen their connection during Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While Jennings' return may lower Bourne's ceiling, the veteran receiver is still an intriguing WR3/flex in leagues with at least 12 teams.

Omarion Hampton Expected to Miss More Than Four Weeks
Omarion Hampton (ankle) is expected to spend more than the minimum four weeks on injured reserve, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. The injury that the rookie suffered in Week 5 appears to be serious enough that he'll be out through at least Week 10, and perhaps longer. The Chargers have a Week 12 bye, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Los Angeles hold him out until Week 13, giving him an extra week off to rest. Losing both Hampton and Najee Harris (Achilles) is a major blow for the Chargers, who will turn to Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal but could also look to make external running back additions.

Alvin Kamara Doesn't Want to be Traded
Alvin Kamara has been a possible mid-season trade target given the direction the organization is going right now. The Los Angeles Chargers are reportedly in the market for a running back with multiple backs going down with injuries. On paper, Kamara makes sense for the Chargers, but the 30-year-old doesn't want to leave New Orleans. Kamara said he wants to stay with the Saints and retire with the organization. It remains to be seen if something will change over the next few weeks, but for now Kamara is resistant to any trades.

CeeDee Lamb Could Return Next Week
CeeDee Lamb (ankle) has already been ruled out ahead of the Week 6 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. This marks the third straight absence for Lamb, but he might not be out too much longer. According to Ian Rapoport, Lamb could return for next week's matchup against the Washington Commanders. This is great news for fantasy managers who only got two solid games out of Lamb before he went down. For now, George Pickens and Jake Ferguson figure to be the primary receiving options with Ryan Flournoy being mixed in as well.
