Padres Promote Eguy Rosario
6 months agoThe San Diego Padres have promoted infielder Eguy Rosario from Triple-A El Paso. Rosario, 24, has been a Top-10 prospect for the Padres over the past few seasons, but has struggled in his limited action the big-leagues. Rosario recently opened the season with the Padres, but was demoted on May 5. In his brief time this season, Rosario hit .250 with three homers and six RBI. For El Paso, Rosario was better with a .289 batting average with 10 homers, 35 RBI and five stolen bases in 36 games. Rosario is no longer as hyped up as he was a few seasons ago and is likely to be a bench player this time around. He is worth monitoring in deeper mixed leagues, but there is no need to run to the waiver wire to snag Rosario.
