Neil Walker Injured Thursday
6 years agoMiami Marlins first baseman Neil Walker (leg) injured his leg running to first on Thursday and was removed from the game early. Walker was hitless with a walk in three plate appearances before departing. The veteran infielder has been one of Miami's best hitters, which isn't saying much, hitting .295/.375/.443 with four homers and 14 RBI in 168 plate appearances. He's still not all that attractive in mixed leagues because the counting stats are lacking. If he's forced to miss additional time, Martin Prado figures to replace him at first base. Stay tuned for more details on Walker's injury.
