Mohamed Sanu Working Out For Lions
4 years agoFree-agent wide receiver Mohamed Sanu is trying out for the Detroit Lions on Monday. This could be a sign that receiver Kenny Golladay (hip), who left the Week 8 game against the Colts, won't be available to play in Week 9. Consider Golladay week-to-week for now and be prepared to go with other options this week. Sanu signed a one-year deal with the 49ers in September but was released after just three games this year once receivers Deebo Samuel and Richie James got healthy. The veteran wideout caught his only target for nine yards in his three games. Sanu had 59 catches (89 targets) for 520 yards and two touchdowns in 15 games with the Falcons and Patriots in 2019. He'd be receiver depth behind Golladay, Marvin Jones Jr., Danny Amendola and rookie Quintez Cephus if he were to sign in Detroit.
