Michael Taylor Out Of Monday's Lineup
1 year agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Michael Taylor (head) is out of the starting lineup on Monday with the team facing the visiting Boston Red Sox. Taylor left the game early on Sunday against the Detroit Tigers when he was hit in the helmet by a pitch, but he doesn't appear to have suffered a concussion, so treat him as day-to-day for now. The 32-year-old veteran outfielder is hitting only .226 (42-for-186) this year, but he's contributed some decent counting stats with eight doubles, 10 home runs, 22 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 25 runs scored in 66 games while filling in at center field for the Twins in 2023. With Taylor out on Monday, Willi Castro is getting the start in center and is hitting sixth against Red Sox left-hander James Paxton.
