Michael Conforto Not Playing Thursday
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Toronto Blue Jays after leaving Wednesday's game early due to left-hamstring tightness after attempting to make a catch near the outfield wall. This is certainly an injury that could send Conforto to the injured list, so fantasy managers should be prepared for the worst. In his absence on Thursday, Austin Slater is getting the nod in right field for the Giants and will hit seventh in the batting order against Blue Jays right-hander Chris Bassitt. The 30-year-old Conforto is hitting just .236 (56-for-237) on the season, but his power plays in fantasy, and he has hit 12 home runs and driven in 42 runs in 71 games.
