Masataka Yoshida Remains Out Thursday
2 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Masataka Yoshida (hamstring) remains out of Boston's starting lineup against the Tampa Bay Rays and left-hander Jeffrey Springs on Thursday. Yoshida is dealing with right hamstring tightness and will miss his second straight game, but he's expected to be ready to go again on Friday when the team begins a series against the Los Angeles Angels. The 29-year-old left-handed slugger is day-to-day. In his first 10 big-league games, Yoshida is hitting .216 (8-for-37) with just one home run, but he also has six RBI, two stolen bases, eight runs scored and seven walks in 45 plate appearances. Rob Refsnyder is starting in left field on Thursday and is hitting third against Springs. He'll represent a low-cost DFS sleeper in a limited slate of games.
