Marco Gonzales Goes On Paternity List, Tommy Malone Starting Friday
2 years agoSeattle Mariners executive vice president and general manager of baseball operations Justin Hollander announced Friday that the team placed left-hander Marco Gonzales on the paternity list, recalled left-hander Tommy Milone from Triple-A Tacoma and designated right-hander J.B. Bukauskas for assignment. Gonzalez was scheduled to start on Friday against the Colorado Rockies, but Milone will now take the hill. The 31-year-old Gonzales should return to Seattle's starting rotation at some point next week. He's allowed five runs on 12 hits (one homer) while walking five and striking out six in 10 2/3 innings in his first two starts of the season. Similar to Gonzales, the 36-year-old Milone has very little strikeout upside and shouldn't be a very popular DFS streamer in his spot start.
