Luis Robert Jr. Sitting Sunday
2 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. is not in Sunday's starting lineup against the Pittsburgh Pirates. It will be Robert's first game off of the 2023 season. The 25-year-old Cuban has gotten off to a strong start this year, going 15-for-41 (.366) with three doubles, four home runs, 10 RBI and seven runs scored in 42 plate appearances. When healthy, Robert has the potential to be an impact bat for fantasy managers this year. With Robert starting on the bench, Oscar Colas will move to center field and hit sixth, while Romy Gonzalez enters the lineup in right field and in the seven-hole against Pirates right-hander Johan Oviedo. Gonzalez is 2-for-10 with two strikeouts in his first four games played this season.
