San Francisco 49ers rookie running back Kaelon Black (groin) was listed as a limited practice participant on Thursday after he was a full-go on Wednesday, according to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports. Black operated as the backup to Christian McCaffrey in the team's Week 1 season-opening win over the division-rival Los Angeles Rams last Thursday in Australia, and he had a heavy workload with 14 carries for 65 yards and one catch for five yards in a blowout win. The 24-year-old third-rounder from Indiana has quickly become the preferred handcuff option for fantasy managers who have CMC rostered. It is unclear if his inclusion on Thursday's injury report is just a rest day or an actual injury that could put him in danger of playing in a plus Week 2 matchup at home against the Miami Dolphins. If Black is not cleared to play on Sunday against the Dolphins, Jordan James would be forced to step up to back up McCaffrey in San Fran's backfield. After Black's impressive performance in the season opener, he is now rostered in 55% of Yahoo leagues for bench depth.--Keith Hernandez
