Joey Porter Jr. To Visit With Panthers
2 years agoPenn State cornerback Joey Porter Jr. will visit with the Carolina Panthers on Thursday. The Panthers have the first overall pick in this year's draft and are expected to take either Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud or Alabama QB Bryce Young, though, so Porter will likely be gone by their second pick in Round 2 (39th overall). Porter projects as a starting outside cornerback in the NFL with some scheme versatility. The son of former NFL defender Joey Porter, the 22-year-old doesn't produce many turnovers, but he has impressive upside and should become a starter at the next level sooner than later.
