Although Joey Logano was mediocre over the summer, he still qualified for the 2023 NASCAR playoffs by virtue of his win at Talladega. Sunday's Southern 500 should be one of his best opportunities to end his winless drought. Logano has a history of performing better in the playoffs. He has a 6.5% winning percentage in regular season races but a 13.3% winning percentage in playoff races in playoff years. Last year, he won the pole and had the fastest average speed among finishers in both races. However, he only finished 18th and ranked 15th in speed in the spring as Ford has been slower this year. Since he improved from 15th to 6th in qualifying this weekend, he stands a solid chance of being an outside contender to win.--Sean Wrona - RotoBallerRead More News
