Joe Musgrove Strikes Out Eight In Rehab Start
2 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Joe Musgrove (shoulder, toe) had mixed results in a minor-league rehab start on Sunday for Single-A Lake Elsinore. In five innings of work, he allowed four runs on six hits while walking none and striking out eight. Musgrove began the 2023 season on the injured list after fracturing his left big toe in a weight-room accident in late February, but this was his last rehab start. The 30-year-old is expected to make his season debut for the team this week against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He's coming off a career year for the Friars, but fantasy managers should be a bit more hesitant to use him right away in fantasy lineups against a young and dangerous D-backs lineup.
