Jerad Eickhoff Expected To Be Ready For Spring Training
Jerad Eickhoff, who underwent surgery to relieve his carpal tunnel in October, is expected to be 100 percent for spring training. Doctors found that Eickhoff's palmaris longus tendon was reversed, which explained the pain he was experiencing. The right-hander threw just 5 1/3 innings (one start) for the Phillies last year after posting a 4.71 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 8.3 K/9 in 24 starts in 2017. He'll have a chance to compete for a rotation spot in camp and could be worth a look as a streaming option in deep mixed leagues if he wins a job.
