Jayvien Sandridge Called Up from Triple-A
Jayvien Sandridge has been called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The relief pitcher will be making his MLB debut whenever he enters a game for the Yankees. The 26-year-old had made only six appearances at Triple-A before his call-up, allowing just one earned run on four hits and four walks while striking out 13 batters. Over the course of his minor league career since 2018, the 6-foot-5 southpaw owns an impressive 32.7 percent strikeout rate, however, it comes with a concerning 17.7 percent walk rate. Hopefully that is something the Yankees can help remedy while he's with the big league club. The 6-foot-5 hurler will take the place of Yerry De los Santos, who was placed on the 15-day injured list, but Sandridge likely doesn't warrant consideration for fantasy at this point.
