Jacob Misiorowski Being Called Up, Expected to Start on Thursday
Jacob Misiorowski, one of the best pitching prospects in baseball, on Tuesday, according to sources. Misiorowski is ranked as the 30th overall prospect in the game by ESPN's Kiley McDaniels and has a fastball that has reached 103 mph this year. He's expected to start on Thursday against the division-rival St. Louis Cardinals in his MLB debut. MLB Pipeline considers the 23-year-old to be Milwaukee's No. 4 prospect. Although Misioriwowski's control has been an issue in the past, it's been better this year and he's posted a 2.13 ERA and 1.09 WHIP with 80 strikeouts and 31 walks in 63 1/3 innings over his 13 outings (12 starts) for Nashville. A learning curve is expected, but Misiorowski should be an immediate waiver-wire priority, and he could stick around in Milwaukee's rotation for the rest of the year.
