Harrison Bader Getting Close To Rehab Assignment
2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Harrison Bader (oblique) went through an on-field workout at Yankee Stadium last Thursday, taking batting practice, running the bases, taking fly balls and ground balls and throwing to the bases. He's expected to have another similar day of workouts this week and could then start a minor-league rehab assignment. "It's right around the corner, which is very exciting," Bader said. "It's been a really good progression." Manager Aaron Boone said Bader will have a relatively longer stint in the minors, though, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect him back right away. The 28-year-old went on the 10-day injured list on March 30, but he'll be the club's everyday center fielder when he's fully healthy.
