Harold Varner III is in the field for this week's Desert Classic. It will be his first start of 2019. Varner had the best season of his career in 2018. He logged three top-10 finishes and won over $1 million in prize money. The 28-year-old continued his excellent play during the swing season by recording three top-25's and a top-10 finish in just five fall starts. Varner has historically struggled at the Desert Classic, missing the cut in all three of his previous starts in the event. La Quinta might not be a great fit for Varner, but he is a player worth keeping an eye on in 2019. --Joe Nicely - RotoBaller
