Guardians Hoping Amed Rosario Can Return Friday
2 years agoCleveland Guardians shortstop Amed Rosario (back) went back to Cleveland on Monday to get an MRI exam on his back, which came back fine. However, the team is hoping he'll be ready to return to the lineup on Friday, and he remains out of the starting lineup for Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers. Tyler Freeman is with the club in the meantime and is starting at the 6 and hitting eighth in Game 1 against Tigers left-hander Matthew Boyd on Tuesday. Rosario hasn't played since last Saturday and has gone 14-for-63 (.222) with two doubles, a triple, a home run, four RBI, three stolen bases and seven runs scored in his first 14 games of the season. Fantasy managers should plan to have him back by this weekend.
