Greg Dulcich's Rookie Season Comes To An End
2 years agoThe Denver Broncos placed rookie tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) on Injured Reserve on Friday, ending his rookie season with two games left to play. The 22-year-old third-rounder had a delayed start to his first NFL season due to injury, as he didn't debut until Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers. He came out of the gates firing with 44 yards and a touchdown on two receptions in his first game, but he didn't score again until last week's blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Dulcich was an up-and-down TE2 streamer in his 10 games played, mostly due to the Broncos' anemic offense led by quarterback Russell Wilson. However, Dulcich has intriguing long-term upside as a pass-catcher and will be an interesting QB1/2 bench stash in fantasy drafts in 2023. Eric Saubert will likely play a bigger pass-catching role with Dulcich out the rest of the way, but Eric Tomlinson and Albert Okwuegbunam could also be involved.
