Giants Defense Loses Lorenzo Carter For The Season
4 years agoNew York Giants outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter (Achilles) will miss the rest of the season after he suffered a ruptured Achilles in the Week 5 loss to the Cowboys. Carter was carted off the field on Sunday and will undergo surgery later this week. He's expected to be back for next season. Entering Week 5, Carter had 14 tackles and one sack and led the team with nine QB pressures in the first four weeks, according to Next Gen Stats. He was tied for the team lead with four QB hits. It's a big loss, as Carter had been playing 89 percent of the team's defensive snaps prior to his injury. Markus Golden took most of the snaps in Carter's place on Sunday, and he's expected to have a bigger role moving forward, with rookies Carter Coughlin and Cam Brown also in the mix. Continue to ignore the Giants Defense in fantasy.
