Elgton Jenkins Diagnosed With a Fractured Leg
Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins got rolled up on in a pile-up on Monday Night Football, and his leg was twisted up underneath him. It was initially announced as an ankle injury, but X-rays showed a fracture in his lower leg, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. Jenkins shifted to center this season after an All-Pro campaign at left guard, and his injury continues a string of issues on the offensive line, with left guard Aaron Banks and right tackle Zach Tom also sidelined. Running back Josh Jacobs continues to be effective, but the Packers only managed seven points in their loss to the Eagles on Monday and will need improved pass protection if they're looking to make a deep playoff run. Jenkins doesn't have a timeline yet, but the injury doesn't necessarily mean he'll be out for the year, depending on the exact recovery time.
