Eagles Not Naming A Starting QB For Week 17 Yet
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni doesn't appear to be in a rush to name his starting quarterback for Week 17 against the New Orleans Saints after Jalen Hurts (shoulder) had a good practice on Thursday. Sirianni said: "We're still sorting through that" and "Jalen's health is the first thing you think of." The 24-year-old didn't play in Week 16 and was a DNP on Wednesday, but he returned to a limited practice on Thursday and did some throwing. The Eagles have yet to lock down the NFC East division, but our guess is Hurts will be rested one more week before potentially returning in Week 18 if Philly has yet to secure the NFC East and a first-round bye in the postseason. We'll have a better idea if it will be Hurts or backup Gardner Minshew after the Eagles release their final injury report on Friday.
