Dodgers Being Cautious With David Freese
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that first baseman David Freese (knee) is dealing with some knee soreness and the team is being cautious with the 36-year-old. Freese wasn't in the lineup on Monday but was available off the bench. As a utility corner infielder for the Blue this year, Freese is hitting a nice .293/.412/.576 with six long balls, 24 runs and 19 RBI in 99 at-bats. He's mostly useful in NL-only and DFS leagues when he's facing a left-hander. Freese has always been known as a lefty killer, although he's hitting .255 (14-for-55) against them this season with three home runs and six RBI.
