1/11:The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired catcher Russell Martin from the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday, according to league sources. Toronto will eat a large portion of Martin's $20 million salary for 2019. Martin will turn 36 in February and is near the end of the line after hitting .194/.338/.325 with 10 home runs and 25 RBI in 289 at-bats for Toronto last year. While the Dodgers need catching help after losing Yasmani Grandal in free agency, Martin is likely to play second fiddle to Austin Barnes in 2019. Martin spent the first five years of his career in LA.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
