DeVonta Smith Back At Practice Thursday
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver DeVonta Smith returned to practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday's session with a headache. We were never really worried that a headache would cause Smith to miss the Week 8 game against the winless Detroit Lions. The first-round rookie has an excellent opportunity to post his second 100-yard game this weekend and find the end zone for the first time since the season opener. However, this game is also a great opportunity for the Eagles struggling offense to finally get their ground game going, even if running back Miles Sanders (ankle) doesn't play. Because of how inconsistent Philly's offense has been, Smith checks in as the WR40 entering play this weekend. He has upside this week, but keep him on the WR2/3 borderline.
