DeSean Jackson Believed To Have High-Ankle Sprain
4 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles believe that wide receiver DeSean Jackson (ankle) suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Thursday night win over the Giants, but he is undergoing an MRI exam on Friday to see if he'll need surgery, according to a source. Jackson had just returned from a three-game absence due to a hamstring injury and was injured late in the fourth quarter on a punt return. The oft-injured 33-year-old deep threat hasn't been able to escape injuries the last two years, and given his slow-healing nature, this could easily be an injury that sidelines him for the rest of the 2020 season. In four games this year, Jackson has only 13 catches (25 targets) for 155 yards and no touchdowns. He's only rostered in 28 percent of Yahoo leagues. Travis Fulgham and Greg Ward should continue to see most of the targets in this offense until Alshon Jeffery (calf, foot) makes his season debut.
