Daniel Jones To See First-Team Reps Friday
4 years agoNew York Giants head coach Joe Judge said that quarterback Daniel Jones (ankle, hamstring) will "get his share" of the first-team snaps at practice on Friday. The Giants will keep a close eye on Jones' mobility as they decide whether to start him in Week 15 against the Browns on Sunday night. The Giants listed Jones as limited for an estimated practice on Thursday, so his status for this weekend has yet to be determined. It's possible he could wind up being a game-time decision on Sunday night, which makes him avoidable in most leagues. The second-year QB took six sacks last week and completed less than 50 percent of his passes, so he'll be a low-end QB2 if he plays. Colt McCoy would have a very low ceiling as well if he makes the start against his former team.
