According to Iowa's website after veteran offensive guard Brandon Scherff was selected to the Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame, the 33-year-old has retired from professional football. Scherff became a free agent back in March, never talked to any NFL teams, and has apparently called it a career. He was originally the fifth overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft by Washington, and Scherff spent the first seven seasons of his career in D.C. Scherff was a five-time Pro Bowler with the Commaners and was also a first-team All-Pro selection in 2020. The final three seasons of his career came with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Scherff started all 17 games for the Jaguars in 2024 in what ended up being his final season.--Keith Hernandez
