Cowboys Sticking With Mike McCarthy
4 years agoDallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said that the team will not be making a change with head coach Mike McCarthy. "There will be absolutely no change with Mike McCarthy. I am surprised someone would question (that). ... We have the utmost confidence this ship is going to be righted quickly," Jones said. Owner Jerry Jones said earlier this year that the team wouldn't be making any decisions on McCarthy after the team lost quarterback Dak Prescott (ankle) to a season-ending ankle injury earlier in the year. Dallas is in the cellar in the NFC East at 4-9, but they are coming off a win over the Bengals in Week 14 and are still technically in the hunt for a chance to win the division, as they are just two games behind the division-leading Washington Football Team. It's only fair that Dallas gives McCarthy a full season with a healthy Prescott under center.
