Cowboys Could Start Cooper Rush Against Steelers
4 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys are seriously considering turning to quarterback Cooper Rush in Week 9 against the Steelers with Andy Dalton (concussion) set to miss his second straight game after testing positive for COVID-19, according to a source. Rush is currently on the team's practice squad. Rookie Ben DiNucci was overwhelmed in the Week 8 loss to the division-rival Eagles, getting sacked four times and losing two fumbles in the process. There's no guarantee that Rush would be any better in what would be his first career start, though, especially against one of the best defenses in the NFL in the Steelers. Wide receiver Amari Cooper was one of the biggest losers with Dalton out last week, as he caught just one pass. You're only starting DiNucci or Rush if you're desperate in a superflex league.
