Corey Seager Resting Against Left-Hander
5 months agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager will get the day off on Tuesday against the visiting Chicago White Sox and All-Star left-hander Garrett Crochet. With Seager riding pine, Jonathan Ornelas will get the starting nod at shortstop and will bat ninth for the Rangers. Seager will get the day off against a tough left-hander after starting each of the team's last 15 games. The 30-year-old two-time World Series MVP opened the month of July hot, but he's hit a rough patch in his last five games with just one hit in 16 at-bats with six walks and six strikeouts. The 30-year-old All-Star has hit only .236 (25-for-106) with four of his 18 home runs against lefties in 2024, too. While Seager may be in a bit of a funk offensively since the All-Star break, he's still a must-start for fantasy managers when he's in the lineup. Ornelas can be avoided in DFS contests.
