CJ Abrams Getting An MRI On His Wrist
6 months agoAfter being scratched from Wednesday's game against the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks, Washington Nationals shortstop CJ Abrams (wrist) is getting an MRI exam on his left wrist. Abrams is unsure how he hurt his wrist, although the 23-year-old did run into Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll during Carroll's stolen base attempt on Tuesday. Until we know the extent of Abrams' injury, he should be considered day-to-day. Even if his injury isn't serious, there's a good chance we won't see him again in Thursday's series finale against Arizona. Nasim Nunez filled in at shortstop for Wednesday's 3-1 win and went 0-for-2 with a walk out of the nine-hole. He could be in line for more work at shortstop if Abrams misses anymore time. Abrams has been a must-start in most fantasy leagues in what has been a breakout year for him so far in 2024.
