Chris Carson, Jamal Adams Questionable Against 49ers
4 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson (foot) and All-Pro safety Jamal Adams (groin, illness) are questionable for Week 8 against the 49ers. No. 3 running back Travis Homer (knee) is also questionable. Carson is a true game-time decision on Sunday. With Carlos Hyde (hamstring) doubtful, rookie DeeJay Dallas is the only healthy back on the roster. Seattle will work out their injured backs before the game on Sunday to see who is able to go, but this is clearly a situation to avoid, if possible, especially since San Fran has allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to the position this year. Expect quarterback Russell Wilson to throw often on Sunday. Adams was limited on Friday for the first time since injuring his groin in Week 3, and head coach Pete Carroll called it a "real good sign," although the team has reservations about him playing Sunday after practicing just once in the last month. Adams is a must-start IDP safety if he's active, but you'll have to check the Sunday inactives. Seattle's defense overall has allowed too many yards and points in 2020 to be counted on as a fantasy unit, however. Cornerback Shaquill Griffin (concussion, hamstring) has been ruled out, while nickelback Ugo Amadi is questionable. Ryan Neal, Adams' backup, is also questionable.
