Cam Newton Not Showing Symptoms After Positive COVID-19 Test
4 years agoNew England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton, who tested positive for COVID-19 last Friday, was asymptomatic as of Monday, according to a source. It means that Newton could be cleared to return in five days since his first positive test if he continues not to show any symptoms, has two negative tests 24 hours apart within those five days and is cleared by the team doctor. He could return to practice by Thursday, which would give him a chance to play in Week 5 against the Broncos. Newton was ruled out for Week 4 against the Chiefs after his positive test. Against a Denver team that has allowed the 11th-most fantasy points per game to the QB position, Newton would have QB1 upside this Sunday if he's cleared to return.
