Buccaneers, Mike Evans Working On New Deal
1 year agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers and wide receiver Mike Evans are reportedly working on a third contract extension as Evans gets set to enter the final year of his current deal. He will turn 30 in August and has been a model of consistency with an NFL-record nine straight 1,000-yard seasons to start his career. There is a willingness on both sides for something to get done this summer. "Mike loves Tampa," said Evans' agent, Deryk Gilmore. "I know the feeling is mutual. His production is the best of all the guys out there." The best comparison for Evans may be Davante Adams, who signed a five-year, $140 million deal with the Raiders with $65.67 million guaranteed. Evans has 10,425 career receiving yards and 81 TDs, but his fantasy stock has fallen considerably heading into 2023 now that Tom Brady is retired.
