Bengals Release Ryan Finley, Bobby Hart
The Cincinnati Bengals released quarterback Ryan Finley and offensive tackle Bobby Hart on Friday to clear some salary cap space for the 2021 season. Finley was a fourth-round pick of the Bengals in 2019. In eight games (four starts) for Cincinnati, he threw for 638 yards, three touchdowns and four interceptions on 58-for-199 passing (48.7 completion percentage). Hart has appeared in 79 career games (66 starts) and arrived with the Bengals in 2018. He was a seventh-round selection by the New York Giants in 2015 and started in 21 games for the G-Men before he was cut. Hart won the starting right tackle job in 2018 but finished that season with a 57.1 Pro Football Focus grade as one of the worst starting right tackles in the league. He was much better last season, but he was still a major liability along the offensive line.
