2 years agoThe Houston Astros placed outfielder Chas McCormick (back) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday with a back issue that flared up on Sunday. According to manager Dusty Baker, it's unrelated to vision issues he's also been dealing with recently. It doesn't seem to be a serious back injury for McCormick, but coupled with his vision issues, it's a bit concerning. The 27-year-old has a solid .275 average (11-for-40) with three doubles, two home runs, nine RBI, four stolen bases and seven runs scored in his first 11 games of the year. Hopefully he won't end up missing too much time. In the meantime, Jake Meyers will have added value in deeper leagues with more playing time. He's gone 6-for-29 (.207) with a homer and three RBI in 13 games so far in 2023.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
