Five-time All-Pro forward Anthony Davis is being traded to the Washington Wizards, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The deal comes just over a year after he was sent to the Mavericks as part of the Luka Doncic trade. The Wizards will also acquire guards Jaden Hardy, D'Angelo Russell, and Dante Exum. The Mavericks, in return, will get Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malaki Branham, Marvin Bagley III, two first-round picks, and three second-round selections. Davis (hand) is still without a clear timetable for return, although he will reportedly be reevaluated six weeks from January 13th. Once cleared, he'll presumably start next to Alex Sarr in the frontcourt and catch lobs from Trae Young (knee) when both are healthy. That, however, has been a rare occurrence this season. Davis has only played in 20 games so far this year.--Andrew Ball
