Andrew Vaughn Going For X-Rays On Foot
1 year agoChicago White Sox outfielder/first baseman Andrew Vaughn (foot), who is out of the starting lineup for the second straight day on Thursday against the New York Mets, is getting an X-ray on his left foot, according to manager Pedro Grifol. "We're not anticipating anything wrong but he was pretty sore," Grifol said. Vaughn hasn't played since fouling a ball off his foot on Tuesday, but it looks like he has avoided a serious injury and should be considered day-to-day heading into the weekend series against the Minnesota Twins, which begins on Friday. Zach Remillard is making the start at the hot corner on Thursday and is hitting seventh against Mets left-hander Jose Quintana. Vaughn is currently hitting .244/.316/.422 on the year with 12 homers, 54 RBI and 43 runs scored in 353 at-bats.
