Seth Lugo Shut Down for Rest of 2025
Seth Lugo (back) won't take the mound again this season, according to manager Matt Quatraro. Lugo has been sidelined since early September due to back discomfort. The right-hander was able to throw a bullpen session, but didn't respond well. It doesn't sound like Lugo is healing fast enough to take the mound again before the regular season ends. He'll finish the 2025 campaign with a 4.15 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and a 125/55 K/BB across 26 starts. Lugo should be ready in time for spring training next season.
