5 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Alex Reyes (shoulder) faced live hitters in camp on Tuesday for the first time since May 30 of last season. Reyes said the session went well. He is on track to be ready to pitch in Grapefruit League games and possibly put himself in consideration for the Opening Day rotation, especially now that Carlos Martinez (shoulder) is iffy. "He is in a good spot," Cardinals manager Mike Shildt said, "And we feel good about progressing Alex." Reyes has heaps of upside but hasn't been able to stay on the field for the Cardinals. The former top prospect is worth a late-round flier in fantasy drafts, especially if he wins a rotation spot out of spring training.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
