Adolis Garcia Sitting Out Against Diamondbacks
Adolis Garcia (quadriceps) is not in the starting nine for Game 2 of the series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday at Chase Field in Phoenix. Rookie Alejandro Osuna is starting in right field and will hit seventh against Diamondbacks right-handed opener Nabil Crismatt. Garcia injured his quadriceps muscle in Monday's win over Arizona and will take Tuesday off. For now, fantasy managers should conider the 32-year-old to be day-to-day and check back to see if he's playing on Wednesday. The two-time All-Star had 30-plus homers in 2021 and 2023, but he hasn't been able to capture that magic since and entered Tuesday with just 18 long balls and a .235/.277/.408 slash line in 125 games in 2025. The Cuban slugger was much better in August, though, going 23-for-80 (.288) with three homers, eight doubles and 11 RBI in 19 games.
