A.J. Dillon Tests Positive For COVID-19
4 years agoGreen Bay Packers rookie running back A.J. Dillon tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, according to a source. Contact tracing is underway, and there are potential competitive implications with Green Bay's Week 9 game scheduled for Thursday night against the 49ers. The Packers will hold all of their meetings on Monday virtually as a precaution. Dillon played 17 snaps against the Vikings on Sunday, but through eight weeks of the season, the league and its medical experts have found no evidence of on-field transmission. The rookie will be out for Thursday's game against San Francisco due to COVID-19 protocols. With Aaron Jones (calf) missing the last two games due to injury, Jamaal Williams is now the lone reliable running back in their backfield.
