4 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers are signing quarterback Josh Rosen to their active roster off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad on Tuesday. The 49ers are unsure if Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle), who is on Injured Reserve, will play again this season. Nick Mullens (elbow) needs surgery for a sprained right elbow and will miss the rest of the season, leaving C.J. Beathard as the only healthy signal-caller on the roster heading into Week 16 against the Cardinals on Saturday. Rosen was the 10th overall pick in the first round by the Cardinals in 2018, but he turned out to be a flop and has started just three games (last year with Miami) since his rookie season. Rosen will serve as Beathard's backup on Saturday. The Cardinals defensive unit will be a popular streamer this weekend.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
