NFL DFS: Broncos vs. Saints DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Picks - TNF Showdown Slate (Week 7)

Bo Nix - Fantasy Football Rankings, QB, NFL Rookies, Draft Sleepers

Today's top NFL DFS lineup picks for DraftKings, FanDuel -- Broncos vs. Saints TNF showdown slate for Week 7 (October 17, 2024). Koby's NFL daily fantasy sleeper picks.

We are back again, RotoBallers! We have had a few great Thursday Night Football games in a row. It has always felt like TNF ends up being a dud, but it's nice that it has been a bit different recently. I have a feeling, though, that this could change coming into tonight's game as we have a couple of stout defenses and rookie quarterbacks on each side. That being said, we have Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos taking on Spencer Rattler and the New Orleans Saints.

Thanks to today's advanced analytics, I'll do my best to provide you with as much in-depth analysis as possible regarding positional matchups, etc., to help put some lunch money in your pocket. Let's make some cash this season! There are quite a few guys with questionable tags so make sure to keep an eye on injury news as it could affect how you put your lineup together.

I will provide you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Broncos vs. Saints NFL DFS showdown slate for Thursday, October 17, 2024. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. MVP/Captain - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Alvin Kamara - RB, $17.7K (DK), $16K (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2024 Stats: 428 rushing yards, six touchdowns, 28 receptions, 238 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown

Alvin Kamara is currently sitting with a questionable tag but it has been reported that he should be available barring any last-minute issues. Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed are both dealing with injuries and both are out.

In this case, I like Kamara quite a bit as he should see quite a bit of work in the passing game. He has finished with 10+ fantasy points this season in all but one game, where he finished with 9.6 FP. The Broncos have been worse against the run than they have the pass this season, and if the Saints can get out ahead, this should give Kamara more carries in this game.

Bo Nix - QB, $14.1K (DK), $15K (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2024 Stats: 1,082 passing yards, five passing touchdowns, five interceptions, 180 rushing yards, and three rushing touchdowns

Bo Nix is finally starting to click. He started pretty rough the first few weeks of the season but has begun to open up as he has six total touchdowns across the last three games. The Saints defense started strong but has regressed, especially after giving up 51 points to the Buccaneers last week.

I am by no means saying that Nix is anywhere close to Baker Mayfield, but with the options lacking on this slate, Nix is a strong candidate to be one of the top scorers on the slate. I also like how he can get things done with his legs.

Other Captains/MVPs: Courtland Sutton, Spencer Rattler

Flex Plays - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Courtland Sutton - WR, $10.8K (DK), $11K (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2024 Stats: 21 receptions, 277 receiving yards, and two touchdowns

Courtland Sutton has been the clear No. 1 option in Denver. His target share is much higher than anyone else on the team, and he also has two touchdowns in the last three games, which means Nix is starting to see him more in the end zone.

My only worry with Sutton, however, is the matchup against Marshon Lattimore. I would assume that the Broncos will try and have Sutton avoid the right side of the field as that's where Lattimore lines up the most.

Wil Lutz - K, $5.4K (DK), $9.5K (FD)

The options are limited, and we have a couple of solid defenses, especially in the red zone. New Orleans gives up the second-fewest amount of TDs in the red zone this season but has also given up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing kickers. It's a near-perfect storm for Wil Lutz, who has only missed one field goal this season, which was a 50-yarder.

Other Flex Options: Denver D/ST, Juwan Johnson, Blake Grupe

Value Plays - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Bub Means - WR, $4K (DK), $8.5K (FD)

Bub Means getting an early connection going with Rattler is great for us. With Olave out, it should make Means WR1 now that Shaheed is done for a while with meniscus surgery. That means we are getting a WR1 for the price of a WR3!

Means was targeted eight times in last week's contest, bringing in five of them with one being a touchdown. With all the injuries, though, the ball could be spread around a lot, so look for Mason Tipton and Cedrick Wilson Jr. to also grab some targets.

Devaughn Vele - WR, $4.4K (DK), $7K (FD)

I was quite surprised to see Vele this cheap, as he had an excellent showing last week against the Chargers where he finished with 78 yards on four receptions.

The Josh Reynolds injury has propelled Vele into a WR2/3 role as he and Troy Franklin both battle for targets. I would recommend getting a bit of both because Nix does have that Oregon Ducks connection with Franklin. Sutton, however, remains superior, though.

Other Value Plays: Troy Franklin, Mason Tipton, Cedrick Wilson Jr.

Enjoy your night and good luck, everyone!
