Today's NBA Picks: Top Player Props, Odds & Best Bets (1/29/26)

Matas Buzelis - Fantasy Basketball Rankings, NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Get Keith Eyster's top NBA player props and expert picks for Tuesday, 1/29/26. Uncover today's best value bets, model projections, and live odds to beat the books.

Welcome back to another edition of RotoBaller's NBA Props! There are eight games on the schedule today, starting at 7:00 pm ET.

Key injuries of note on today's slate include: Giannis Antetokounmpo (out), Alexandre Sarr (questionable), Russell Westbrook (questionable), Josh Giddey (out), Nikola Jokic (out), and Devin Booker (out). There are always a lot more injury statuses announced in the afternoon hours, so make sure you are monitoring that information as closely as possible.

In this article, I will provide my favorite NBA player props picks for Thursday, January 29th. Prop picks can range from individual stats, such as points, assists, rebounds, three-pointers made, and defensive statistics, to combination props (Points + Rebounds + Assists = PRA). All odds and sportsbooks used are listed, but it's always a good idea to shop around, as odds change throughout the day as bets are placed. Alright, let's get to the picks already!

Featured Promo: New Novig users get a $25 purchase match (50% discount up to $25) on your first Novig deposit, and 6 free months of RotoBaller's "Big-4" Premium Pass (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL) which includes exclusive tools for Betting, Props, DFS and more! CLAIM IT NOW

Today’s Best NBA Picks for Player Props

Let’s take a look at the top player props for today’s NBA slate:

Joel Embiid over 28.5 Points (-120 Fanatics)

Philadelphia big man Joel Embiid is playing the best basketball we have seen from him in quite some time. He hit his points prop for us on Tuesday, and we are going right back to the well. He's cleared this line in five straight games and has looked amazing while doing so. For the season, Embiid averages 25.2 points per game, but those numbers are skewed due to playing time restrictions. Over his last 15 games, that scoring average is up to 28.7 points.

Tonight's matchup adds even more optimism. Embiid gets an elite spot against a Sacramento squad that ranks 28th in defensive efficiency and has allowed the second-most points in the paint this season.

Ryan Rollins over 22.5 Points (+102 FanDuel), (+100 NOVIG)

Bucks guard Ryan Rollins has been incredibly productive when playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Porter Jr. In seven games with those two players off the floor this season, Rollins has averaged 24.7 points per game on 29.3% usage. He has scored at least 23 points in six of those seven games.

Tonight's matchup is another huge plus for Rollins. Washington plays at the sixth-fastest pace and ranks 29th in defensive rating, while allowing the second-most points in the league. The plus-money on this prop is a nice bonus, as it sets up as a great spot for Rollins to go over once again.

Matas Buzelis over 14.5 Points (-120 Bet365), (-142 NOVIG)

We have to like Buzelis tonight to keep up his recent scoring surge as the Bulls will be without Josh Giddey, Jalen Smith, and Kevin Huerter on the second half of a back-to-back against Miami. When Smith has missed, Buzelis has seen an uptick in minutes and scoring, and Zach Collins remains out for Chicago, leaving even less competition for minutes at power forward.

I look for Buzelis to be aggressive on offense and get up a lot of shots tonight for this short-handed Bulls team. In an up-tempo game with Miami, there should be plenty of possessions and opportunities for him to score. This number is just too low, and I'd even bet it at 15.5, too.

How Does Novig Work?

Since users are not playing against the books, there is an opportunity to make more money per wager that you win, and users can usually find better values on bets (in terms of the prices being offered) than on traditional sportsbooks.

There are no oddsmakers; users dictate their own odds. You can either accept the odds that the market is offering or set your own odds. If you set your own odds, another user has to accept them on the other side for the bet to be activated.

For example, if you set the odds of Jaylen Brown to go over 29.5 points at -110, then anyone can flip the bet and take the under on his points prop at +110. Users drive the market, not the sportsbook or oddsmakers!

Top NBA Value Picks and Sleeper Props

Betting on superstars is always exciting, but the best value often lies in the margins of a roster. Role players and emerging contributors can offer hidden edges, especially as the season wears on and injuries start to shake up rotations. We don't want to wager only on superstars; it's often the role players and less-known players who may offer us the best markets.

Let’s dive into some of the top value plays for today’s NBA slate.

Kyshawn George over 11.5 Rebounds + Assists (+100 NOVIG), (-110 NOVIG)

Washington wing Kyshawn George has taken a nice step forward in his second professional campaign. He is averaging career-highs across the board, including 5.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game. His production has gotten even stronger of late, as he's cleared 11.5 combined rebounds and assists in five straight games.

Tonight's matchup against Milwaukee sets up nicely for George. Milwaukee ranks just 21st in rebounds allowed and 19th in assists allowed. They will also be playing without former Defensive Player of the Year Giannis Antetokounmpo in this game, which is another huge boost for George.

Naji Marshall over 22.5 Points + Rebounds (-118 FanDuel), (-121 NOVIG)

Mavericks forward Naji Marshall has been one of the few bright spots for Dallas this season. He is averaging a career-high 14.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, and those numbers have been on the rise. Since returning to the starting lineup 11 games ago, Marshall has averaged 19.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

Additionally, Cooper Flagg has been playing on a minutes restriction and even sat out last night. Marshall's outlook would only improve if Flagg were out again.

The matchup sets up well for him against a Charlotte team that ranks just 19th in defensive rating.

Reed Sheppard over 11.5 Points (+102 FanDuel), (-104 NOVIG)

Rockets guard Reed Sheppard is coming off back-to-back abysmal shooting performances that kept him under this points prop the last two games. However, there are reasons to believe he can turn that around tonight. Steven Adams is unfortunately out for the year, and Tari Eason is unlikely to play on the second leg of a back-to-back, which paves the way for Sheppard to play big minutes. In five games with Adams and Eason inactive this season, Sheppard has averaged 16.8 points per game.

The matchup is also excellent against an Atlanta team that plays at the second-fastest pace and ranks 17th in defensive rating. As long as Sheppard can regain his shooting form, he should cruise over 11.5 points.
